I was finally able to convince the townspeople that I did not kill the two men and that they were obviously killed by the Indians. I pity this colony for not having the strength and wits that I possess.
Now that the Indians and I are friends, all seems to be well... especially with Pocahontas! Every four our five days she'll come down to Jamestown with a few of her attendants to bring the colonists and I much needed supplies, especially food since we arrived late and were unable to plant or harvest crops. Don't tell anyone I said this, but secretly I think she just wants to see me! Everyone finally seems happy again, especially me! God only knows what will ensue today, but I guess we can just wish for the best!
